The balance boards are a wonderful way to engage both sides of the brain while learning new information or reviewing previously taught information. The balance boards provide an opportunity to engage the whole body in retaining information. The students love this new and exciting way to get out of their chairs and move while learning. I currently only have one balance board and the students clamber at the opportunity to use it. They love balancing on the board while reciting sight words, numeral and letter automaticity challenges and conducting experiments using heir muscles to complete math tasks.
