You’re contribution means a lot to my students and I. I am so excited to jumpstart all of our new projects and paintings this year using our new easels. Thank you again for providing me the means to help my students grow and develop as young artist.

    Thank you”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Farr

This letter serves as a small token of my gratitude to my donors. The multitude of my students have never weaved a basket before, nor did they know what basket weaving was. The basket craft was to be used specifically for Thanksgiving, as we did a variety of activities relating to studying Native Americans. Although the materials were different from those that the Natives used, students were able to grasp the concept with the materials provided.

Being that this is a title 1 school, funds for art supplies are far and few between. With your generous contribution, my students were able to enjoy new experiences.

Thank you once again for your kindness and generosity.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Farr

This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and one other donor.
Art in schools are not often viewed as a necessity, so art teachers tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to funding. That is why it is necessary to reach out to donors outside of the school system for assistance. The necessary resources such as: paint, paper, pencils, etc will be used to create different projects throughout the school year. By donating to our classroom, you will help create a brighter future for young minds. I do not want their creativity to be limited because the necessary supplies are not available. Typically, parents would be asked to purchase items themselves, but most of the time it is not possible due to low income.
