As a teacher, my dream is to see my students become creative writers, deep thinkers, and kind human beings. I want my students to push the boundaries of what most think is possible for 4th and 5th graders. I want the larger world to see their potential, their enthusiasm, and their dedication to their goals. My school is a diverse mosaic of different cultures, communities, and perspectives. This year, I want to inspire my 9 and 10 old students to see that becoming excellent readers, writers, and thinkers will lead them to a high school diploma, a college graduation, and a dream job. Academics are extremely important to my students, and they have the grit and excitement to take them far. Sure, I'm biased, but I think I have the greatest group of kids! I want to provide them with anything and everything that will get them excited about learning.
