This vending machine will not be stocked with candy, but with motivational capsules. I can use this vending machine as a reward incentive for behavioral management system and overcoming those challenging math skills & literacy standards. My students lack motivation from home. They do not always have the parental support needed to make the best choices at school. This will help inspire students to be determined to power through the difficult challenges in order to receive a chance to go to the MOTIVATION MACHINE! I will fill this machine with plastics vending capsules. Students will crank and open the capsule. The capsule will have a reward card inside. Can you imagine the excitement and pride students will feel as they get to crank that machine. This machine will bring a sense of ownerships and accountability in my classroom. Students could receive a reward such as a large water bottle sticker, wear a hat for a day, no shoes in class for a day, choose a buddy at lunch, 10 minutes of free computer time, etc. Just the visual impact this vending machine will make in my classroom. A huge reminder for my students to choose the right behavioral choices or to keep powering through that challenging math or language arts standard. This vending machine will be an AMAZING motivation to my students that require extra support due to not always have that positive encouragement at home.
