  • Graphic Novels by Diverse Authors for Middle Grades

    Funded Apr 9, 2025

Thank you so much for contributing to this project! Our classroom library is very popular, especially the graphic novels. These books will help to fill our shelves with graphic novels by authors that are as diverse as they are! We are excited to add these books to our classroom collection!”

  • Money Management Skills

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

Thank you so much for funding this project! We work with the students in our classroom on skills that they will need to function independently once they graduate. These resources will allow us to build lessons on budgeting and finance to teach the skills they will need to manage their own finances and to manage money in the jobs they will have in the future.

Thank you for your support of our students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jaskowiak

  • Cookbooks for Budding Chefs

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

Thank you so much for funding this collection of cookbooks! As we plan for our students' futures, we are working with them on independent living skills. Having a collection of cookbooks for them to borrow and to try out will give them the confidence and skills to live independently as they continue with building those skills needed to live on their own.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jaskowiak

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our project! We are working so hard to create a calming space for students to recenter and deescalate during the school day, and this rug, the cushions, and the mental health related books will go a long way in helping us to support our students in their mental wellness journeys!”

    Mrs. Jaskowiak

  • Graphic Novels for Middle Grade Readers

    Funded Dec 13, 2024

Thank you so much for donating to our graphic novels collection! So many of our readers are working below grade level in Reading, and this will give us a solid foundation of books that are at accessible reading levels for our students!

We look forward to stocking our shelves with these books!”

  • Banned Book Club

    Funded May 27, 2024

Thank you so much for providing these frequently-banned books for our classroom library! Now that our display is up, students are beginning to investigate the newly-arrived books! Lots of discussions are starting about what causes a book to be banned, and they were surprised to find out that the book we are actively reading in class (which was also in this collecting) is frequently banned.

It's exciting to see all of the discussions surrounding book-banning, and why districts and libraries are having to combat these challenges. I custom-made stickers for the books in this project, and each book is labeled with the reasons it is frequently challenged/banned from libraries. The students are intrigued, and beginning to check these books out of my class library.

Thank you so much for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jaskowiak

  • Readers Without a Library

    Funded Dec 31, 2012

Thank you so much for your donation! These books have been amazing! As soon as the resources arrived, my kids were so excited! Several of them checked out books immediately! They have especially enjoyed the Hunger Games Trilogy and the different multicultural stories that were a part of the project.

Because of your dedication, I have been able to provide my students with our own classroom library, since our school does not have one. They have never been without a book to read, and they have been constantly going back to those shelves after they finish a book.

Thank you so much for your support of our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jaskowiak

  • Building a Classroom Library

    Funded Apr 2, 2013

Thank you so much for your generosity!! I am excited to see how my students are becoming interested in books, and they will be thrilled to have these new books in our classroom library! We don't have a school library, and many of our students do not have access or transportation to the local library. You are helping me fill in the gap for them!

I work with struggling readers in the building, as well as the students who come after school for our Study Hall Club. Many of these students have checked out books from my shelves, and they are asking for a greater variety of more challenging books to choose from. You are giving me the opportunity to build a love of reading in these students!

Thank you again for your generosity, and for your dedication to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jaskowiak

This classroom project was brought to life by JP Morgan Chase and 7 other donors.
  • Trumpets for a Brand New Band Program

    Funded Aug 13, 2011

Thank you SO much for your donations! It has been so exciting to see the music program grow in this school! The kids are very excited to receive the instruments, and your donations have provided an opportunity that may not have been available to some of our students.

Music is such an important aspect of a child's education, and many of our students have never been in a school with a music program. With your help, we are building a program that these students can be proud of. They look forward to being able to play these trumpets, and I am excited to see their excitement!

    Thank you for your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jaskowiak
