  • Getting Comfy in Science Class!

    We are so grateful for all the donations! My students love coming into my classroom and having different flexible seating options. It makes them feel like they are in control of their learning, and the choices keep them from getting bored and distracted. They even helped me build the tables! We have a system so that all students get chances to sit in different places, and rotate to keep class exciting. My students have been telling all of their other teachers about how 'cool and relaxing' my room is.. and it is really the talk of the school! We can't thank you enough.”

My school believes in the power to individualize education through technology. We incorporate a blended learning model in which students experience daily technology lessons. My class uses computers to complete online labs and listen to online lessons in case they need extra help. My students are diverse in their academic abilities and some need more repetition and guidance than others. With headphones, my students can learn at their own pace and even replay and repeat information to take notes. I cannot always answer my students' questions the moment they need an answer, but having the extra resource of online lessons and videos will be able to assist them when I cannot. This allows me more time to work with my small groups and have my independent learners working at their own pace. Headphones are a tool I can use to revolutionize the way my students learn and use technology to enhance their classroom experience!
