Having use of two Chromebooks in our classroom would be beneficial for several reasons. This technology would provide an avenue to serve students who need remediation (such as step by step math instruction), as well as those who need enrichment opportunities (such as research projects). The diverse needs in my classroom include focus challenges and different rates of work productivity. My students work best when our day includes variations in instructional delivery and when work periods have built in breaks. Chromebooks would serve as a motivating tool for easily distracted students to maintain a high level of productivity. One example might be a student motivated to finish a narrative writing assignment in order to transition to a Chromebook, where he/she goes through the editing process for that piece of writing. By donating to this project, you will help to increase student focus, productivity and individualization, ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
