In D.C. Public Schools, a goal of the Ninth Grade Academy is to help students develop basic skills to be successful in and out of the classroom. Last year, we used folders and notebooks to complete assignments and keep track of graded work. I learned that the various needs and abilities of my students coupled with the curriculum the district provided requires a much better organizational system. By donating to this project, my students will have a true sense of pride because they will be able to see, track, and reflect on their own growth and understanding. Students will be able to easily keep track of all assignments, resources, and assessments. This binder will be used as a study tool to help build content knowledge and provide opportunities for meaningful reflection that fosters personal and academic growth.
