Putting Books in the Hands of Children!
Funded Aug 19, 2018Thank you so much for donating to our kindergarten home reading program. Every day we read with students in small reading groups. We have a short time to review skills with them each day. Through your help in donating money for home readers we were able to send home reading books at our students ability levels to practice at home and during individual reading time.
We have seen an increase in reading scores already this year because of the added reading support. We check in with students ability levels every month and continue to give students books on their own reading level. This has been a tremendous blessing. Each week we give students new book titles and we are able to meet all of our students needs with books at reading levels from kindergarten through first grade in fiction and nonfiction."”

Building a Solid Foundation!
Funded Sep 20, 2018Thank you all so much for fostering the love of reading in my classroom. I have already started to see the positive effects of books being placed in students hands at their reading levels! My students enjoy reading their books in classroom and at home each day. They are excited about getting new books each week.”
