Spanish Culture in the World.

My students are enjoying reading these new books about Hispanic countries. It's an approach to take them to different cultures. They specially enjoy reading and seeing pictures of different Spanish foods! Thorough these books they learn vocabulary, geography, food, fashion and customs. They discuss in pairs what they like about the books and what calls their attention. They are working on a special project based on the books now. Finally, the books will be included in my Scrapbook about Spanish speaking countries. Thank you so much for your support!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 3 other donors.

Each book will be added to my scrapbook about Spanish Culture. My students will be able to see pictures and read bilingually about different Spanish cultures. My students watched the movie "Coco" last year and now they would be able to read the story. They will also learn the story of Frida Kahlo, the most famous female Mexican artist and visit Ecuador through Galapagos Island, Colombia, Venezuela, Paraguay, Panama. They will also learn about the Argentinean Pope Francis and learn about Global babies. I would like to make my students reflect about Global citizenship: that the planetary human community is interdependent and whole. We are essentially one.
