Every book in this list will be included in a detailed Morning Meeting schedule, where weekly themes focus on community and emotional intelligence. During the first week of school I will use the title "We're all Wonders" to help instill a feeling of belonging in our new classroom. When we are feeling a bit unmotivated I can read "Wilma Unlimited: How Wilma Rudolph Became the Fastest Female Runner" to help push my students to the finish line. Every read aloud will have purpose and provide my students with a window to various experiences to help them grow.
