As we listen to a Read Aloud or do a Shared Reading, we dream and think as we follow the story. We learn about the text and build our vocabulary and understandings. We share our thinking and learn strategies to increase our reading and our learning. A multifunctional easel will provide an avenue to "see" our ideas and strategies and share our thinking with each other. We can use our easel to hold our ideas to create summaries and new stories to share. We can build our vocabulary and our strategies to become strong, independent readers and writers and thinkers.
