Reading in Biology: More than a Textbook Thing!

Thank you, thank you!! I honestly never imagined a Biology teacher would receive funding for novels. My seniors are excited about the future projects; and well, my sophomores don't know what is in store for them.
I hope you realize how much this means to us. Your generosity will enable students to read books they may never have a chance to read, in a way never presented before......with a biological twist.
Again, I not only thank you for myself, but for future biology students who will learn that I teach biology as more than a textbook thing!!!!

Welcome to Science in Avery County, NC. I come from a rural county situated in the beautiful mountains of NC. I teach at the only high school, and am also the Athletic Trainer. My course load includes Physical Science and community college Biology (taught on our campus).
