With these books, the students will be able to have a social story based upon the skill they are struggling with or a situation they are facing. Many times, students who are struggling, tune out from adults when they are telling them why the choices they are making are not right. With social skills picture books, students can look at what is happening in the story and generalize it to their lives. Often times, students will be engaged from a story and then when questions are asked from it, you can start to see it connecting with themselves.
