  • Small Group Studies

    Funded Aug 14, 2022

Thank you immensly for your donations. My students are thrilled and excited to use the materials in their small groups. They have even shared the materials without being asked to be fair. We continue to utilize the white boards in our reading and math projects and share our work with each other. Students love to gather round and discuss what they have learned. As the pictures demonstrate, they are working in groups to share learning while enjoying snacks. All this progress in their academics have been assisted by you! Thank you again and your help will not be forgotten.”

    With gratitude,

  • Games Make Learning Fun!

    Funded Oct 28, 2022

Thank you for helping to make sure that my students have an opportunity to make and take games.

A love of learning does not happen easily when you have no reinforcing activities to engage in at home. Your support gives every student in my class what they need: a game to keep. My goal is to provide every child with one game, then have others available for them to exchange as they build their knowledge. Learning through games makes children want to learn. Thank you for giving and helping me reach my goal.”

  • "Saving" the Future

    Funded Sep 11, 2022

We are super excited to start "Saving" our Future. The students are excited and can't wait to start earning money and learning how to save and budget. Students are already asking questions about the treasures and inquiring about the careers that they are interested in. I am super excited about being able to prepare our children for life long experiences with money. Without your generous donations and participation this would not be possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Briggs

  • Nutrition for the Mind, Body and Soul!

    Funded Nov 27, 2018

Thank you so very much for your support. Our students loved the soft seats and use them during reading and carpet time. The vibrant colors help brighten the room and make our reading area a pleasant place to visit. The students enjoy having a comfortable and welcoming area to sit in while they read.

My kids used the candy to support their learning with math skills in division, area, and perimeter. The children loved having an opportunity to reinforce the math skills to make their gingerbread houses. They ooh'ed and ahh'ed as I presented the candy and described how they would use the candy for math. This would not have been possible without your help.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Briggs

The students I teach come to school with a positive attitude about learning. They are exciting and eager to learn and help others to learn. Our school is located in a large metropolitan city in NC. We are a large school with a wide range of ethnicities and cultural diversity. There is nothing worse than being hungry and you're still trying to focus on the teacher. Students need to have access to snacks. The students I teach eat lunch during various hours of the day. Some eat almost 4-5 hours before dismissal, it is important that they receive additional nourishment. The snacks that have been requested are, or will be, portion controlled to stay within the recommended daily allowance for kids. Having the snacks will also provide additional support for parents who may have difficulty purchasing additional items. The candy items requested will be given to students as behavior awards and put into the treasure box. I have also request soft cushions sets for students. My classroom is very small and we have a rug but some students will not be able to sit on the rug. The soft cushions will allow flexible seating without having to sit on the cold hardwood floors. The pencil sharpeners will be an easier way for students to begin working without having to stand over a trash can. All cleaning supplies including the broom and Lysol wipes are to ensure students are learning in a clean environment. Many times students sneeze and are even made to come to school sick, having these materials will allow me to disinfect the classroom daily and in between lessons to ensure that germs are kept to a minimal.
