Thank you so much for your donations. Our garden club kids are going to be so excited to hear the good news! I'm looking forward to growing the garden club learning library, planting new seeds, and watching them grow with an amazing group of kids. Again, thank you for all your support!”

Thank you so much for your generous donations! Getting this project funded means so much to me! I don't know what the next school year will look like, but I know that I will have the supplies I need in order to teach. My students will use these supplies everyday, and I can't thank you enough. • New - Real Life - Learning Opportunities!

    Funded Dec 24, 2018

Thank you so much for your donations! My students have really loved using the TIME Magazines to practice reading skills. My students are highly engaged when they read the text because it is so INTERESTING! There are new things to read about every month, and the kids love it! Students love reading about current events and keeping up to date with the world around them.

My students also enjoy using the headphones we received. Students are able to listen to a text being read aloud to them, and it is so beneficial for them. When students can listen to fluent readers and follow along as they read, it boosts reading comprehension. I have a student who entered my classroom knowing 4 words in english: yes, no, bathroom, and teacher. He listens to text being read aloud to him everyday, and with the help of individualized instruction, he is now reading on a second grade level! You helped make that possible! THANK YOU!

Again, thank you so much for supporting my classroom and students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Herbert

My students, unsurprisingly, struggle the most with nonfiction fiction texts. My students encounter significantly less nonfiction texts and need more access to them. I am excited to use the class subscription of Time Magazine for my students to read independently, to use for whole class reading comprehension lessons, and for writing as mentor texts as well. I am preparing my students to become adults in the not so distant future, and I want them to be well informed. The world is ever changing, and I want my students to be well prepared for the real world. My students will be faced with many issues, and I want to give them the skills they need in order to face those challenges. I'm hoping that regularly reading articles on current events, science, health, history, art, technology, business, and community will help students make well informed decisions about their life. I am also asking for 5 sets of headphones. I have a handful of students who can not afford them, and I would love to provide them for students in need. Thank you for you consideration.
