  • Little Future Builders

    Thank you so much for your generous donations. The students are loving their new building blocks table. I have been using this table for the younger students in the library to use for creativity and to help build up their motor skills. This is also a great incentive to use as well.

    When the students first saw the Lego table they were really excited. The best part of this table is that it is both compatible with both the smaller legos and the bigger legos as well. I have loved seeing what the students can build using this table. I am constantly surprised at what they come up with. I have some lego duplo cards by the table which have different designs they can build and I love it when they run up to me excited at what they were able to create. You have helped make this school library better and have possibly inspired future architects.”

  • Innovation Library

    I would like to thank you so much for donating to our school! Our students have loved these new makerspace items that we have added into our school library. Once a six weeks we have an hour in the library for every class and this is when I've been using these items. The students look forward to this time throughout the rest of our library times and it really incentivizes good behavior.

    When I first told our students that we now have legos to use for our lego wall they were excited. They were even more excited when I told them about the Botley coding robots. I pulled out the boxes, and then showed them how it worked. They couldn't wait to try it! Later I will add some Botley accessories to our library so that we can have some coding obstacle course fun! I love seeing the students creativity when they build with their legos. It amazes me what they can come up with. Again, thank you for making my students smile.”

The library is the heart of any school and should be a welcoming place for students to come in and have the opportunity to read and learn. For most of the students at my school, coming to the school library is the only opportunity they get to read books. My library has a few area rugs for students to use as well as a couple of couches and pillows. I would like to bring in flexible seating to not only make the library look more appealing for the students but also a place for them to be able to read their books comfortably. Having flexible seating in the library will allow them to take charge of their learning and make the choices that best suit them. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options for reading their books as well as create excitement for coming to the library. The floor table will allow them to read or work comfortably on the floor whether it is a homework assignment or a research paper. The comfortable floor chairs and bean bag chairs will allow for more comfortable reading options for the students. Because they are lightweight the students will be able to move the chairs in any part of the library they want to read or work at. I want to see my students get even more excited about coming to the library to read books. Coming to the library more often to read will benefit them with their education. I hope that by having this new seating area, students will be more excited to open a book and read!
