A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words!
Funded Mar 19, 2022Thank you so much for your contribution to our art program. Your support helps to further the mission of making our middle school art program one of the best in the area.
My students were so excited to receive the new graphite and colored pencils. We used the color pencils for a graffiti project where the students used their names to create graffiti based artwork made of stylized lettering and graphic elements. The graphite pencils were used in conjunction with our realist unit where students did their best to create realistic drawings of facial features using the blending and shading techniques that were learned in class. We also used the pencils for our favorite object drawings.
We will finish up the semester doing a realistic portrait of their favorite artist or celebrity. Your support is invaluable to us, thank you again!”

Inspiration Through Art!
Funded Nov 9, 2021I can't express enough how these painting and drawing supplies have benefited the students in my classroom. It has been wonderful to see the wide range of artistic talent that has emerged as these new resources were made available.
The students were ecstatic to learn of the new painting and illustrating resources that they would have access to. The painting supplies allowed my students to work on large scale paintings, and the illustrator markers allowed them to focus on more detailed drawings.
The students used the paint supplies to add vivid colors to their abstract inspired 3D masks and also to paint large scale ceiling panels that remain on display in the classroom. We used the markers to render sharp detailed still life drawings of different types of Candy and also to produce original Loteria game cards.
I have been inspired by the work that my students have been able to produce and I look forward to many more amazing projects to come. Thank you again for your generous support.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Jordan
