I am so thankful for everyone that supports my students and my classroom! These chairs are a hit! When the boxes arrived, my students were so excited to see what was inside. Once they realized what they were, they were the top topic of conversation all day. My students can work in a more comfortable environment. An unexpected plus, students are showing more desire to follow rules/expectations in hopes that it will be their turn to use these comfy spaces! Students are able to use these chairs during independent reading or any "center" work time that allows them to be away from their desks!”

Flexible seating options will make a difference in my student's learning by giving them the option of choice. Having a choice in any part of learning gives a student a sense of accountability and ownership over their learning. Students feel empowered by having some degree of choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where there will work, and at times, with whom. These floor seats will also allow students to stay engaged for longer periods of time because they will be able to change positions and locations as needed. Flexible seating creates an environment that encourages students to share their space and supplies - creating an area that feels more like a home rather than a traditional classroom. Studies have shown that flexible seating can increase student collaboration due to the ability to socialize and interact with each other without having to rearrange heaving desks and stiff metal chairs. It is clear that learning environments have a direct impact on student success.
