An Ear-Resistable Approach to Building Reading Skills
Funded Aug 13, 2019It is with great gratitude and appreciation that I submit this impact letter to you for your kindness and willingness to give, toward an ear -resistible approach to building reading skills. Your gift has enhanced my students' learning and ultimately created memorable experiences for my current students and many students to come.
My students have loved the listening center! They can choose the listening center as one of their "daily 5" center rotations. My students are so engaged when listening to some of their favorite stories. Some children are beginning to read along with the stories! listening to books have gifted my class with more opportunities to hear rich literature building their reading fluency, vocabulary and deepening their love of books. My students are enjoying the thrills of storytelling, as well as practicing listening skills while drawing what they hear.
All of these items have been fantastic additions to our classroom. I cannot say enough positive things about how much the book bins and binders have helped the students with writing and literacy skills, what an enjoyable experience the listening center is for them. I love to teach, and I love it most when I see my students not only successful, but enjoying using the materials in our classroom that make them successful.”
With gratitude,
Ms. MacDonald
