Students at the Central Square Middle School Library have expressed interest in tinkering and exploring with Raspberry Pi's. They are interested in learning the pieces and parts that go into computing along with programming the pi to do some functional fun activities within our library Makerspace. Students will master how to put the pi’s together, what each part does along with its role in the computing system and lastly create a mini computing system. After students have created their mini computing system they will use the game controllers along with some downloaded educational games to use with their new computing system. With permission of course:) The benefits of this student led project range from students learning to code, to exploring the inner workings of a computing system, and using their imagination to create a mini computing system. I also believe some Raspberry Pi starter kits can have a larger impact on the building and ignite other students who are not familiar with the inner workings of a computing system to jump on board.
