While my students are hard working and love to learn, there are days were they lack motivation and focus. My project includes a lot of different items to help motivate my students to stay on track. Some of the incentives I have included in my project are items like small pieces of candy, little toys, markers, gel pens, and pencils.
All of these incentives were chosen based on what I know my students will want to earn. I included name tags to make shout outs to specific students that I know need an extra boost of confidence. While I have a strong classroom management plan, sometimes students just need something tangible like apiece of candy or a mini eraser or a sticker. Those little things can make an enormous difference on the climate of the classroom on a day that is not a typical day as far as behavior. My plan is to also use these incentives for group activities, classroom games, and homework incentives.
