Two years ago, I began implementing small doses of flexible seating in my classroom. Students quickly became more engaged, we had fewer behavior problems, and they were more excited to learn. Although I began to implement this, I do not have enough resources to engage all of the students in my class. This showed me how important flexible seating is in the classroom! As an adult, I like being able to choose where I work. Our students are no different. As a Kindergartener, it is important to be able to wiggle, move, and rock while learning. I am excited to add to the options I have now and reach even more of my students through flexible seating.
