  • Time to Retire: Printer!

    Funded May 17, 2023

    Thank you so much for your donation for our new color copier. This new color copier has my students excited to learn. They love to see themselves on our classroom walls completing their work.

    Having the printer increased their independence since they are able to use the printer with support from their teacher. This independence, has my students able to focus on a task longer so their picture can be taken. They get so excited to see their accomplishments immediately.

  • Trust Us, We Are Thirsty!

    Thank you so much for your generous donation to our project. One of the hard parts of teaching preschool is getting them to be independent. My student are thirsty all day. When the children are thirsty it interferes with the learning environment. With our Aqusana countertop water dispenser it eliminated the waiting process.

    The children quickly learned how to start and stop the water filling in their cup and gave them a sense of relief knowing they can have a drink of water whenever they are thirsty. This new independency continued into family style lunch and snack. Thank you again for your donation.”

  • Being Comfortable as We Are Reading.

    I cannot express how much the reading sitting shelf benefited my class. Even though the winter was not as cold as expected, the floor was not the most comfortable place to sit while reading. Therefore my students rarely sat in our cozy/ library center.

    The class was excited to hear that you had donated to our project. The excitement showed on all their faces when the box arrived. I could not have opened the box any faster. Once the comfy sitting shelf was placed in the center, the children raced to the center to have a chance to sit and read.

    This center is the most popular center in the classroom. They are able to reinforce what the learned in the classroom about books. Font cover, back cover, picture and words are what we hear all day. They are even reading the pictures and creating their own story ( since we are in a 3k program and cannot read yet) but they are in the beginning stages of reading. Thank you from 3k-126!!!!”

  • Tablets for Pre K

    I was overjoyed upon receiving your donation of the three Amazon Fire Tablets. Working in a Title One school where supplies are limited, your donation meant that much more to my students.

    Using the Amazon Fire Tablets, my students were able to work independently on those skills they found difficult to grasp as well as helping them to reinforce their learned skills. They love the ABC Mouse and Starfall programs, which offers them various academic games and as well as enhances their vocabulary. Since using the Amazon Fire Tablets technology, my students are excelling their knowledge as they recognize their letters and are able to pronounce the letter sounds with confidence.

    In my class, I also teach a child with a disability. By using this technology, this student can learn letters and math skills at her own pace with videos and songs. Thus, differentiating my teaching instructions helped to benefit the learning needs of my student.”

First, they will learn letter sounds and by the end of the year, some of them will even read! The tablets will benefit all types of learners. The tablets will be used for small groups and independent learning. Students will be able to learn on their own level.
