Making writing exciting is an everyday struggle with first graders. They moan and groan as writing is difficult and challenging. I will be incorporating writer's workshop in my class. The focus is to teach students that writing is fun and exciting. They will be creating and publishing their own books. Creating brochures to educate their peers about different topics. A COLOR laser printer will excite my first graders and motivate them to finish their writing projects. Black and white pictures just doesn't excite them or motivate them to finish. A color laser printer prints faster, the ink lasts longer, and it prints clearer images.
