Funded Jan 27, 2024Thank you so much for the supplies. I have had two parties to celebrate celebrations. We also had the opportunity to do a celebration project using modeling clay. Students had so much fun, and they appreciated everything that was donated.
We are glad we can use resources like the airpot and other items more than once so that more students can benefit. Thank you so much again. My students are very happy. We have several projects in the last two months of school for which we will use some resources.”

Classroom Essentials
Funded Dec 16, 2023Thank you so much for donating Lysol wipes, staplers, and whiteouts. We have been using the Lyson wipes daily to wipe students' desks. The stapler is used to staple artwork for students and daily assignments.
The students were excited about the wipes and stapler, since we ran out of those two items. Since we will be celebrating Mother's Day in the next few weeks, we will be using the stapler and whiteout much of the time for our project. Thank you for making my job easier and making students' learning more fun and safe.”

Classroom Essentials!
Funded Mar 1, 2023Thank you for the resources donated to my classroom. Here is a list: Round Floor Cushions made it easier for students to sit comfortably on the floor. Headphones were a great way to keep students focused on their math and reading without the noise of distractions. Bright colors, we did several art projects with them. ZOHAN Kids Ear Protection helps students who are sensitive to hearing stay focused. Crayola Air Dry Clay for Kids was a great way to study landforms. The students were so happy to have and use them in the classroom. They will use the materials to complete many more assignments, which will help them learn throughout the year. Thank you so much again.”

This was their first time using Scratch Rainbow Art paper for some students, so it was terrific. The students were excited when they saw the Scratch Rainbow Art Paper, even those who had done it before. They asked to have an extra one to keep drawing. I am glad I had enough for everyone to use.

Funded Jul 9, 2019Thank you so much for your support and funding of fun books. The fowling books have been used for lessons:
Best Behavior (4 books) Spanish • AKJ
Hands are not for hitting.- It's essential to keep a hand to yourself.
Germs are not for sharing, mostly during snack time.
I used these books every year at the beginning of the year to remind students of the importance of good behavior in the classroom.
In my classroom, students can independently read for 20 minutes daily and choose their books. I love that they can read fun books like Diario de Greg (Diary of a Wimpy Kid). Some students struggle with reading, but when they read books they consider fun, it inspires them to keep reading and searching for readers they enjoy when they check out books at our school library.”

Funded Aug 22, 2018The students are enjoying the books so much. Students have become more curies about books. Thank you so much for your donations. My students have enjoyed so much reading the new books. Some have even borrowed them and taken them home to read to siblings. Some skills introduced by reading the new books have been life lessons, creativity, and cognitive and language development.
Reading is an excellent way for students to develop new skills. In my classroom, reading is used in many ways, such as 1) Short direct instruction on something good readers do, usually a cognitive skill (5-10 minutes), 2) a long reading time (20 minutes) in which children read and individually and respond to comprehension questions. 3) ends with reading journal, 4) Summaries the stories they read.
Many students enjoy the new books, especially the ones that struggle with reading. They love that the books have beautiful illustrations of actual events and real-life photos. Thank you so much for allowing my students access to such books.”
