Comfy Classroom

Thank you so much for supporting our comfy classroom project. The students are so excited to use the seating choices that were made possible by your generosity. When the students first saw the new seats, some were excited, and some were confused. After they learned that the seats are for them to use, they all were thrilled to try them out. Students were able to use the new seats during independent reading time. It is a chance for them to read books in a comfy seat, making reading time even more fun for them!

These new seats also help these fourth grade students stay engaged during instruction. I plan to make a choice chart where the students can choose which seat they want to use for certain activities. For example, the students will gather together with their chosen seat to listen to a read aloud in the classroom library.

Students have been more engaged in instruction since the seats have arrived. They help the students to not only focus more, but also to be more comfortable throughout the school day. The seats help to make the classroom a more inviting and engaging environment. We are so grateful for your generous donation and for making this project a reality for these fourth graders!”
