These items will be so beneficial to my students for years to come! I have seen a rise in testing anxiety with young learners and with these materials, it is my hope that I can create a more positive testing environment. I'm requesting headphones to minimize noise distractions, computer mice to help control their actual answer submissions, and flexible seating to give the kids a chance to be comfortable and relaxed. Along with giving the kids an opportunity to use a fidget toy if needed to calm their mind. My hope is that by establishing a routine with these tools, the children in my class will feel more at ease during testing and learn that school is a safe place to learn, improve and succeed in all subjects. Hopefully, it will translate into their personal life by giving them different coping mechanisms to handle stressful situations.
