  • Time for Kids!

    Funded Jul 4, 2022

Your kindness and generosity means so much! Time for Kids can get expensive when purchasing for an entire class and is not a priority in our school's budget. Your support means so much!

Your donation has helped to elevate our science and social studies curriculum. The students get so excited every Monday when we sit down to read our Time for Kids magazines. The class favorite so far as been an October issue about shark sightings on Cape Cod! We live about 2 hours from Cape Cod and many of our students vacation there in the summer so it was very relatable to them.

Thank you again for your generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lagimoniere

  • Privacy Is Key!

    Funded Aug 6, 2018

My students have been very excited about the privacy shields for our classroom. We mainly use them for test taking and privacy during quiet work time, however many students will ask to use them throughout the day when they need some space to get work done without distractions.

We take weekly spelling and vocabulary tests, as well as monthly math tests that we use the privacy shields for. While I'm passing out tests students grab a shield and get it set up at their desk. They are the perfect height and size to fit on their desks. When they have completed and turned in their test, they return their privacy shield to the stored pile.

I love that students feel comfortable enough to grab one when they feel they need it. The privacy shields have been a great addition to our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Lagimoniere

In second grade we give monthly math chapter tests, weekly spelling tests, science and social studies quizzes and several writing assessments throughout the year. Students having the privacy shields gives each student their own defined workspace and helps with wandering eyes. I find students are a lot less distracted when they have a partition around their desk. There's less talking and fooling with neighbors and students are better able to focus on the task in front of them. Teaching good study and work skills early on is important for when they are older and have to take assessments like MCAS.
