Because of the transiency of my students, many of them come with significant learning deficits and, therefore, require large amounts of small group instruction. In our classroom, small group time is sacred. It is the time for me to work with students specific needs in a more intensive and personalized way. Each day we spend a total of 120 minutes engaged in meaningful, small group work. These are currently being run on the floor due to lack of workspace. It would better benefit the needs of my students to have adequate workspace at a table where they can be supported in a more structured setting. My students need a whiteboard, kidney bean table for small groups.
