My project consist of providing my students with engaging learning materials at the literacy and math centers. Our classroom learning centers need to be inviting with learning materials that will give my students the opportunity to practice their skills in different ways. I notice that my students are most excited about learning when they are provided with hands on activities instead of worksheets. They prefer putting puzzles together, making words with letter tiles, counting objects, acting out stories, and so on. It will be productive to have materials that would allow my students to develop their learning skills. The requested resources will opens the door to many learning opportunities in my classroom. My students will use the headphones at the listening center where they will listen to stories being read to them (RL.K.10). Then, they will act out those stories with their classmates. In order to improve my students hand writing skills, they will use the magnetic dry erase boards to practice writing letters with correct directionality (L.K.1a). The flash cards, CVC puzzles, magnetic letters, alphabet puzzles, sight words sentences, and ten frame set will be used at different centers with the purpose of helping my students with letter recognition (RF.K.1d), spelling of words (L.K.2d), sight words recognition (RF.K.3c), and addition (K.OA.A.1). The bins and baskets will be used to keep all the learning materials organized.
