These learning kits will allow us to give our students hands-on manipulatives for reading and math. It is proven that students of this age learn best with concrete objects. We will include dry erase boards, dice, unifix cubes, and other materials to make sure our students are equipped with the things they need to be successful. We recognize that some families may face financial difficulties during this pandemic. To ensure our students are prepared, we are collecting materials to create individual learning kits for our students. Our kits will be the first thing our students associate with us. Usually, we would have an Open House where we can meet the students and show them all of the exciting features of our class. This year we are hoping that these kits will inspire our students to enjoy learning from home with a “gift” from their teachers. Each kit will be provided in a tote that is easy to transport. As our county transitions us back into the classroom, the students will bring their kits to school to minimize contact of shared materials. Help us bring joy, organization, and a consistent set of materials to help keep them prepared to learn ANYWHERE!
