Durable headphones would ensure that all my students can use technology in effective ways that promote their achievement. These headphones would be able to survive use in a classroom and could be stored efficiently, so that the students could get to them quickly and easily minimizing loss of learning time. The headphones would enhance my students' learning as they work independently. I desire for my students to realize that they are in control of their learning and can use resources to know more about the world they live in even when a "teacher" isn't present. These headphones would give all my students the ability to access information on their own. They would be able to listen and read along with books which would ensure that all my students, regardless of their current level could be exposed to quality books. They could watch math videos as they worked independently, which would give them more ownership of their learning as they could control the pace. My students would be able to research things that interested them through watching videos and listening to books that are more complex than their current Lexile level. They could then share what they learned with each other. With the microphone, they could record themselves reading so they could listen to themselves clearly and learn to monitor their reading fluency. This would help them assess their own abilities as they'd be able to hear what they sound like when reading. These headphones would allow students that have a hard time focusing when there is noise around them have a quieter environment to work in the classroom. These headphones would help my students of all abilities use technology to learn about the world and take control of their learning.
