In today's classroom, we know that hands on learning experiences and unique opportunities to showcase learning are essential to a successful classroom environment. The materials that I have requested will make all the difference in creating that environment. Although seemingly basic, whiteboards and clip boards will allow students the opportunity to take their learning beyond "the norm." With these tools, they will be able to collaborate with peers, demonstrate their knowledge and show off their creativity in a way that a pencil and paper can't. The math tools requested will help students tackle fractions through bridging their concrete knowledge to an abstract understanding of this tricky concept. They will help meet the needs of the visual, tactile and kinesthetic learners in my classroom so that all students have the chance to be successful. Your contributions and support are vital to our success and are greatly appreciated!
