  • New Tool for Teaching Science

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you very much for your generous donations. Generation Genius provided us with hours of fun, standards-based videos, reading material, quiz games, hands-on activities and ideas to try in class. We love using the program!

Generation Genius helped both my in person and remote students to learn science. We also helped to pilot some exciting new math lessons and participated in surveys. It was wonderful to have all students actively involved in the lessons and activities.

Thank you for providing me with a new tool for teaching science. Generation Genius brought science to life and made it fun. My students became hooked on science this year. The children think the program is "really cool." They beg to use it. Thank you for providing an enriching science curriculum that my fourth graders love.”

  • See Us Rolling - We're Learning!

    Funded Nov 14, 2018

Thank you for helping me to give my students an easel they can access to support their learning. The easel is PERFECT and we LOVE it! It is dry erase. It saves lots of paper. It's magnetic. It has a tray for storage for markers and manipulatives. The best part is, it is on four wheels for rolling! Students absolutely love having the flexibility to roll the easel around the room in order to use the anchor charts that we've brainstormed together and refer to them while working at different learning stations throughout the day.

It's a perfect addition to our Guided Math Workshop! We use it to model and record math strategies. Santa brought us an early Christmas present and delivered some brand new dry erase markers for our new easel. We are in Heaven! You can see our smiles! :)

Thank you again for your donations and for all of your support. It means the world to us!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Roche

An all purpose teaching easel would be very beneficial for my students and me. The easel that we have now is broken and extremely difficult to move. Missing screws, loose wooden pieces, and wobbly legs make it a little dangerous. I kindly ask students not to go near the easel and very rarely call helpers to it to show work or solve problems. The easel we use now holds chart paper. The easel that I am asking for funding for is dry erase. It would save lots of paper. It's also magnetic. It has a tray for storage for markers and magnetic manipulatives. The best part is, it is on four wheels for rolling! Students would have flexibility to be able to roll the easel around the room in order to use the anchor charts that we've brainstormed together and refer to them while working at different learning stations throughout the day. This mobile easel would also be the perfect addition to our Guided Math Workshop! I'd be able to roll the easel over to my teacher table and use it to model and record math strategies. Students would then be able to leave my teacher table with it and continue their math work independently or with a partner while sometimes having what they just learned at the teacher table directly in front of them. During my teacher prep period, I'd be able to roll the easel to the teacher's room in order to prepare lessons and charts ahead of time. Our specialist teachers use our classrooms during our prep periods. Thank you for your consideration.
