  • An Eco-friendly Printer for English Language Learners

    Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity. The printer that I received has had a great impact on my students and their learning. My students speak English while at school and at home most speak another language, such as Spanish, Twi , Fulani.

    I have been able to provide them with bright colorful images to help them while they learn.

    We use this printer to print colored copies of classwork pages, so that the independent work matches their textbooks. We also use it to print out posters and charts to hang or keep in student folders as a resource and learning aide. We also use the printer to print images for the students to use in their story writing.

  • Fun Friday Crafts

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

    These crafts have been so wonderful for my English language learners. I used them with various groups of my students. We were able to talk about how to use materials and share them with each other.

    The students were able to make crafts on "Fun Friday" after working hard all week. I think the best craft our our pet rock day. Students drew picture of how they wanted to paint their rocks, then they painted the rocks. Some students said they were going to do fun things over the summer with their rocks.

    My younger students were able to make a valentine craft to give to someone special.

  • A Printer to Help Us Learn and Grow

    Thank you so much for taking the time to support my students. I am so excited to get this much needed printer and ink. Now, I will be able to print materials for the students to use both in class and also for materials at home. I will be able to support my students by printing out books, writing material and even math tasks. These materials will be used by my students in both 2nd and 3rd grade.   • Projecting Our Work To Grow As Students

    Words cannot express how the students feel when they she their work projected onto the board. Our projector has been so helpful to our class. We are able to use the projector along with our Elmo to share work. For example, during writing, we can project our rough drafts, then we help each other edit and revise our work.

    The students also use the projector during reading, we can project an article that we are reading, then we can share how to take notes or highlight parts of the text. Additionally, we use the projector to help us with math.

I have an Elmo and I am requesting an Epson projector that can be used with the Elmo to aid students in various projects, such as aiding the students in learning how to write personal narratives and viewing picture books use as models for writing. By having a projector, I will be able to model the writing process for my students. They will be able to see all the corrections that were made and then in turn apply it to their own writing.

About my class
