Help support Mrs. Burke's Classroom

My class of first graders are extremely engaged in the use of technology to help them to learn basic phonics, reading fluency, math facts and STEM activities! I have a wide range of learners in my class and the use of tablets will help differentiate my students' needs in a way that is fun and exciting. We have so many great educational games that are available, but we need a way to play them. If we were able to get these tablets, the students would be able to enjoy more ways to further their education. Most of the students in my classroom have never had the opportunity to use an iPad. This will be a huge game changer in our first grade room! Many of my students do not have access to technology at home. I believe that it is imperative that my first graders have access to useful technology daily. This technology can help students be engaged in every area in our classroom. The use of these wonderful tablets will help with my small group instruction and data collection. In a room full of 18 energetic students, it can be difficult to reach each individual student's needs on a daily basis. I am excited to have the opportunity for more one-on-one time!
