My students are brilliant. It is in every student to succeed. It just needs to be harnessed. They are very physically active. I would say most of them participate in a sport throughout the year and one other extracurricular activity such as an instrument or focused tutoring. Most of the students' parents are conscientious. They know academics is the key to success with math being particularly important and emphasize this point to their children. The students I have are also precocious. I hardly ever have a class that doesn't let me know when they are bored or when they are feeling challenged. There are also some students who don't have as much support at home but have the same desire to succeed. They too are involved students in school but maybe with less resources at home to do their work.
