Art is a favorite for many of my students, and it has been a great way to teach them many concepts throughout the core including math (symmetry, place value, geometry), science (living things and their habitats, states of matter), and social studies. Unfortunately, we don’t have an art specialist at our school, so all art teaching falls to me. To be honest, I'm delighted to teach with art; it's one of my favorite ways to teach. I'm low on supplies, though, and I am hoping that through the generosity of so many people on DonorsChoose, I can get funding to buy what I need for my amazing students.
