I actively monitor my students' progress and understanding during lessons. The white dry erase boards are essential in our every day activities. During math time, students will be able to answer by showing number sentences and pictorial models on the boards. We even use our whiteboards for reading and language arts! When studying character traits, students are able to write words that describe the characters feeling or actions on the boards. They can definitely be used across all subject areas! And students really love using them to actively participate. The math resources will play an important role in my students' learning. Many of my students are English Language Learners, therefore they need visuals and objects such as manipulatives that will help them better understand the concepts being taught. They will be able to learn math through the use of fun and interactive resources. The foam shapes will help students identify the attributes of each 3D shape by being able to touch it and count the faces, edges, and vertices. The number lines will really help struggling students when solving addition and subtraction problems. I can say that number lines are my students' favorite math strategy/ tool!!
