All of the items will be used to develop the whole-child and support us in building a beautiful and strong learning community. Items, like the folders, headphones, colored paper, and sticky notes will help students to grow their skills and love of literacy. In our Personalized Learning classroom, all students are provided with a rigorous grade-level curriculum. Additionally, they have dedicated time to work on any unfinished or advanced learning. Especially during this year where unfinished learning has had and will continue to have serious implications for learning, we are striving towards meaningful and responsive learning and teaching. These materials will support us during both types of instruction. My students also love to collaborate and play together. The puzzles and Legos will encourage students to interact and play together in a productive and fun way. During our Morning Meeting, we regularly talk about ways in which we can build up our community through play and language, and these materials will help support us as we build our classroom environment. Last, but not least, many students do not have refillable water bottles. We talk often about sustainability and how we can do our part in conserving and reusing resources. Because of this, we would like to have refillable water bottles that students can decorate and use for the entirety of the year. Please consider contributing to our wonderful classroom, thank you!
