  • Making Reading Fun Again!

    I just want to express my gratitude towards the generous donation that you gave to my kindergarten students this year! They have used the materials to build on their writing skills as well as their reading strategies. The post its are so helpful for writing their goals and placing it in their folders- they use this to work on their next steps in ELA. During Reading Workshop, they had the opportunity to use the post its and pencils when they had to add a 'pinch of me' to their stories and imagine themselves in the storybooks and learn about the world books. When they were given the materials- they were so excited and thankful for all the fun new hands on materials they can now implement into their learning!

    We will continue to use the materials all year to work on bigger and better Reading and Writing skills! The kids will be so excited to see their progress throughout the school year! :)”

The students in my school come from a diverse cultural background. The greatest part of being a teacher in my classroom is the support that teachers get from colleagues. I want my students to love and support one another through the variety of fun learning activities that we do on a day to day basis. Unfortunately, there are some supplies and materials that some students are in need of receiving from families. The teachers in our school try every day to bring in as much supplies as we can- while also building a community around us for parents/educators to help support our children's learning. Our children need hands on materials, supplies, reading/writing tools, and other educational manipulatives so they can have a true learning experience. At the kindergarten level, children need to experience the world around them through kinesthetic, auditory, and visual learning. Thank you for supporting my classroom!!

About my class
