  • Got Ink?

    Funded Oct 23, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Since receiving my ink supplies I have been able to print out my reading assessments. This may sound like something small but this helps me keep track of all 32 of my students. Although me and my class are fully remote I do not have access to the printing tools from a regular school. Having these copies helps me stay organized and plan accordingly for my students. These copies will be eventually used next year so having a hard copy can be easily filed.

Another use for this ink is to print out lesson plans so that I can take notes on my actual lesson plans when I meet with my students in a smaller group.

There are not enough words I can say to express how grateful I am to receive this donation. Once again Thank you so much and stay safe.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Torres

  • We’ll Be the-Air for You!

    Funded Sep 19, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous donations. During these difficult times as a teacher, we've been constantly worried about the health and safety of the students as well as our own. There is no real way to know how to keep everyone safe in the classroom, but we do know that ventilation and clean air can help prevent COVID 19.

This air purifier has features that have proven to kill other allergens, airborne mold, and germs. From the bottom of my heart thank you for helping to keep us safe.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Torres

The Printer and ink supplies that I am requesting for my classroom will benefit my students in numerous ways. Most of my students are English language learners and students with special needs. My students rely on constant visuals for understanding. Most of our worksheets and workbooks are in black and white. At times when we are doing Math the students will have a hard time counting coins because some worksheets only show the coins in black and white. "ENL students have difficulty processing auditory information and so instruction that is supported by visual clues is more beneficial to them."( Nieto& Bode, 2018 pg 42) Providing these visual clues in color will sure enhance their learning and allow my students to have a colorful experience in all subject areas.
