The books chosen in this project are directly related to some of the skills that are missing with my students. We have been using various curriculums to help teach some of these skills, but we are needing more support through books! Providing us with these books will help emphasize what we have learned through Zones of Regulation, Conscious Discipline, and Social Thinking. For example, learning expected and unexpected behaviors in Social Thinking can also be taught through the story "No, David" or expressing how you feel in Zones of Regulation through the story "How Do Dinosaurs Say I'M MAD!" By donating to this project, you will be investing in their future! My students are ones that enjoy listening and reading new books, especially ones that they can relate to and learn from. These engaging read alouds will help my students relate to characters, determine what problems arise, and discuss how to solve these problems using the skills taught through the learned curriculums and the read alouds. With the combination of these resource and practice, my students will be able to apply the skills independently to real world situations.
