Hands on With books.
Funded Dec 11, 2023Thank you for the wonderful gift of authentic texts in my classroom. These series books and authentic texts by celebrated authors are instrumental in creating a love for reading with beginning readers. We anxiously waited the delivery of the books as we learned and researched the authors.
My favorite thing about these texts is that it is inviting to read with bold colors and intriguing characters. The students fell in love with the characters and their adventures and my students are inspired to read about new adventures while revisiting the previous books read.
Thank you again for for your donation of the award winning books for our class library . They were thrilled to receive these publications. The books are an excellent addition to our growing collection of cultural resources. Your generosity to support the students in our community is greatly appreciated.”

A Magnetic Dry Erase Board Supports Interactive Learning Experiences!
Funded Sep 29, 2022Thank you for funding my magnetic dry-erase board.
My students were immediately attracted and interacted with the materials that were displayed on the board.
I use the board every morning to write our morning greetings.
I use the board during math with magnetic manipulatives for my students to have an interactive experience. They can stand up and are able to move the manipulative to enhance and solidify their experience and understanding.
During phonics, I display the sound card and students can use the letter sound cards to build words and some time to interact with their letters and the sounds.
In science, we used the board in our light and sound study. We used it to test to see the reaction of light on an opaque surface through and we used the board as a background to investigate shadows.
Thank you for helping me give my students this essential teaching tool that is an imperative part of their learning experience.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Delport
