  • Terrific Tablet and More Books!

    Funded Aug 20, 2018

Thank you so much for contributing to my project. Your donation has allowed me to provide instructional level books to my scholars that they are interested in and motivated to read. Having a leveled library allows them to easily choose an engaging book at their level to help them push their reading level forward. In my small groups, scholars get individualized reading instruction and attention, and these books help me easily access text at their level to listen to them read, ask comprehension questions, and best support them where they are at.

The tablet is being used for student who needs extra practice in basic reading skills and math skills. The tablet allows him to practice these skills independently and in an engaging way! He is so motivated to get time on the tablet after completing work each day!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Trapp

5th and 6th graders at my school now know that if they need a book at their level, they can come to me to borrow one any time! Your support has impacted some amazing 5th and 6th graders!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Trapp

Students who read at varying levels need access to books at their level to grow. Having access to multiple books at their instructional reading level will allow me to differentiate learning to meet students' individualized needs across various grade levels, as well as help students reach the goals they have set for themselves. If students have access to more books at their level, they come closer to reading on or above grade level, and closer to successfully going to and through college. Addressing reading challenges in elementary and middle school is critical to students being ready for high school, and in turn, ready for college. Help me create meaningful learning for students and give kids access to rich, engaging, and accessible literature!
