The project materials will give my students a hands on experience of setting up a fish tank with local species. A class set of fish tanks will allow them to work in small groups of two or three students each, to set up a small marine ecosystem to maintain in the classroom. This will help them better understand and learn about the needs of various species and how to create a stable environment to study. They will put together the filter system, fill the tanks with local species and feed and care for them. Students will collect species while on our class trips and transport them back to the classroom and keep them in their own group's classroom fish tank
