In the classroom, our desire is for the atmosphere to be conductive for learning. Flexible seating will allow my students to be able to make more decisions of how they are learning and make the choices that suit them best. During independent center times, they would choose a location in the classroom that they feel works best for them. My students choose to work in a variety of locations throughout my room. I want the students to be comfortable and be able to focus on the task at hand. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to sit. If we can have a variety of seats will mean they won’t get bored with the having to sit in the same old table and chairs or desk. The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful reading, writing, science, math and social studies with the flex seating.
