As a teacher, there is no better feeling to see a classroom full of students engaged and happy. I am asking for learning games to add excitement to student learning as well as manipulatives that allow for a hands-on learning experience. As a teacher of ELLs (English Language Learners), visuals are incredibly important to help learn new vocabulary and pocket charts are the perfect way to display visuals around the classroom. My project also includes plastic storage because organization is key for both teachers and students as it maximizes efficiency in the classroom. Additional organization materials include shelves that will serve as a writing center for students where all writing materials will be in one place. Dry erase pockets and markers, card stock, and laminating sheets will be used to create durable, long-lasting learning centers that will minimize the unnecessary waste of paper. Other resources include basic school supplies such as pencils, erasers, glue sticks, markers, and pens. To build student self-esteem, I plan to use the binder clips as ways to display student work on the board, so they feel accomplished, smart, and important. These resources will maximize student learning, enjoyment, and excitement in the classroom. My goal is to create a positive and safe classroom environment where my students feel comfortable, respected, and cared for. I want my classroom to be a safe place where students can forget about what may be happening at home and engage in hands-on learning experiences that promote collaboration with their peers. These resources will build my students' love for learning and provide them with the learning experience they deserve to have. I couldn't do this without you!
