These materials will greatly benefit my students in rural Appalachia. The Scholastic Magazine will allow them to see the world beyond their mountain range while preparing them for their standard state test. These magazines would allow the students to see how other kids their age overcome obstacles and achieve their goals regardless of their circumstances. I think this material would have a huge impact on my students. I also believe that the current material in these magazine would help my student become excited about reading. It would give them an opportunity to view material for review that is more current and catered to them.
